春节时间
小年
即农历腊月二十三日送灶王爷上天（把供奉的灶王画火化），向玉皇大帝报告他所在的一家，在过去一年的表现。为了让灶王爷说好话，要供奉糖瓜，送行时还要用糖糊在他嘴上，让他上天言好事。到除夕再把灶王迎回来，就是请（买）一张新的灶王画（画上画有灶王爷和他的太太灶王奶）供在厨房。画的两侧通常贴一副对联：上天言好事，回宫降吉祥。横批：一家之主。
大年
从腊月最末一天开始，一直到正月三十或二月初二（龙抬头）。
从阳历看，春节在1月21日至2月20日游动。
北京地区：从腊月初八（过了腊八就是年）直到农历二月二（龙抬头），年才算过完。
春节意义
